Nepal Telecom has started providing GPRS internet facility to its users since a long time. After realizing the need of Internet at hand Nepal Telecom started to provide GPRS internet service to prepaid users. But people still find it difficult to use it. So i am telling you some basic steps to use internet in your mobile using NTC's prepaid sim.
Step 1: Make sure your mobile phone supports GPRS internet. Most of the phones does but be sure by checking it from the mobile's site.
Step 2: Dowload a GPRS activation form Nepal Telecom's site or go to a nearest Nepal Telecom's office and fill up the form and submit it.
Once your application is passed and your service is activated you may jump to next step.
Step 3:Open your connectivity settings. It might be located at different place in different mobile phones. Mostly it is inside "settings" or it might be in main menu with name "Connectivity" or "Connection setting"
Create a New Access point with following values:
Connection name: NTC wap
Data Bearer: Packet Data
Packet data access point: ntwap
username: [dont change]
password: [dont change]
authentication type: Normal
ip address: 192.80.7.133
Proxy port: 8000
Network type: IPv4
homepage: www.websahar.com
This value might need to be entered in different places in different mobile. So keep this values in mind and enter it wherever required. All values may not be necessary based on your mobile set.
Step 4: Start your browser and start using internet.
At last: This is just a general idea and data that will be needed while setting up the internet in your mobile. Rest is upon you.
